Coaches, Mark Your Calendars for the New Player Clinics!

Hello Coaches,

We’re excited to announce our Fall 2024 New Player Clinics, and we need your support to make them a success! These clinics are all about introducing new players (K-8) to the game we love. As coaches, you play a huge role in helping us grow lacrosse in our community—and we can’t do it without you!

The clinics will be held on Saturdays: October 19th, October 26th, and November 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Herndon Middle School.

Here’s how you can help:

1. Promote the Clinic to Your Communities

We want as many new players as possible, and the younger, the better! Please share the clinic details with your teams, families, and local communities to encourage kids who are new to lacrosse to sign up. These clinics are a perfect entry point for beginners, and we’d love to see fresh faces eager to learn the game.

2. Submit Fun Ideas for the Clinic

We’re always looking for fresh and fun ways to engage new players. If you have any creative drill ideas or fun activities to keep things exciting, we’d love to hear them! Whether it’s a new way to teach passing, a fun relay race, or unique ways to introduce cradling, your input is invaluable. Please drop your ideas in the comments below.

3. Volunteer to Coach at the Clinics

We need a few of our coaches to volunteer their time during these clinics. It’s a great way to support the HRYL board and introduce new players to lacrosse in a positive, skill-building environment. Let us know if you’re available for one or more of the clinic dates by leaving a comment below.
