]]> Parents, if you’re staring down that Teacher Workday on Tuesday, September 23rd, and wondering how to keep your player active and engaged, there’s a local opportunity you might want to check out.

While HRYL does not officially endorse external programs, we do want to make our families aware of local lacrosse-related activities—especially when some of our coaches are involved. A few of our current and former coaches have participated in past events with Beltway Lacrosse and have spoken positively about the experience. That said, we encourage all families to do their own research before signing up.

🥍 One-Day Lacrosse Camp Details

📅 Date: Tuesday, September 23, 2025 (FCPS Student Holiday)
📍 Location: Lake Fairfax Park – Sixes Fields (same location as DMVI events)
🕣 Drop-Off Begins: 8:30 AM
⏰ Camp Runs: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
💵 Cost: $150

What’s Included:

  • A full day of lacrosse instruction and small-sided games
  • Camp is open to both boys and girls
  • Lunch (pizza & Gatorade) is included – allergy accommodations can be requested

🧢 Equipment Checklist

For Boys:
Cleats, basketball/running shoes, stick, helmet, shoulder pads, arm guards, gloves, water bottle

For Girls:
Cleats, basketball/running shoes, stick, goggles, water bottle

👨‍🏫 Coaching Staff

The coaching lineup includes experienced instructors with collegiate and high school backgrounds, including:

  • Paul Hummer – Loyola ’15 | Brooke Point High School
  • David Solomon – University of Maryland ’12 | Salisbury School | Top Caliber
  • Robert Overman – Colgan High School
